On November 14th we flew up to Seattle for Christy and Brains wedding. Ricks Dad and Shannon picked us up at the airport, where we had just seen a Leprechaun (or at least someone dressed remarkably similar to one!). Back at the house we said hello to Rick's Mom and Susie and then spent the rest of the evening hanging out and catching up.

Saturday morning we woke up to a great breakfast and a gray rainy day outside. We spent the day at Rick's parents house, updating Chris and Shannon's computer, looking at old family photos and having a good time. In the late afternoon we got dressed up and then headed to the wedding with Rick's parents. The wedding was the Saint Ignacious chapel at Seattle University, a really cool shurch with a very distinct architecture. The wedding was very nice, Christy's Dad even sang a song during the ceremony.

Afterwards we went to a reception in downtown Seattle, near Pioneer Square. We had a fun time talking with everyone, and Rick even saw a few old friends that he hadn't seen in many years. Around 11:30pm we all headed home, it had been a really fun night.

Sunday morning we drove back into Seattle to Ivar's Restaurant where we had a great brunch with our friends Leslie and Jay, who brought their son Duncan (who was very cute), and Stacie, who was Rick's roommate in college. After brunch we drove back and packed. Then Rick's parents took us to the airport. (It's amazing to both of us how thoroughly airport security personnel seem to be able to turn what should be a simple process into something complicated, time consuming and random). Fortunately the flight home was short and uneventful.
