The North Coast of Maui

Friday afternoon (after snorkeling and getting tattoos), we decided to drive around the northern edge of the island. It's a narrow twisty road that runs right along the ocean. In some places we were down at sea level, in others we were several hundred feet in the air.

We stoppped at several locations to check out the sites. At one we found hundreds of stacks of rocks of varying sizes. We still don't know exactly why they were there, but we did our part and stacked a few rocks ourselves.

There were stacked rocks everywhere. Kind of like something out of "Rapa Nui"...

There was a blow-hole down below that sprayed water every few minutes.
