Saturday, December 23rd

After a week in Kauai with Rick's family we headed west for a week of diving on the Palau Aggressor II around the islands of Palau in Micronesia. We flew from Kauai to Honolulu to Guam to Palau. We were greeted at the airport by Bhoyet, one of the crew from the boat. Onboard we set up our dive gear on the dive deck and headed to our (very large for a dive boat) room for some overdue sleep.

Monday, December 25th

The next morning was Christmas day (our first out of the country). We met our fellow divers at breakfast: Kathryn, Mary Ann, Sunee, Lois, Marc and Robin, Robert and Cecelia, Eric and Heidi, Alvero, Phillippe, Alexis, Monique. We also met the rest of the crew: Captain Mike, Amanda, Bhoyet, Hector, Ike, Rose, Mayette.

Dive Sites: Short Drop Off, Buoy #6 Wreck, Big Drop Off, Ngedebus Coral Garden.
Weather: Sunny and warm

The Aggressor is a 106 foot catamaran with 9 cabins. Diving is done from a 30 foot skiff which is lowered to the water on a hydraulic lift at the back of the boat. The water was very warm at 84° which made shorty suits all we needed. On the way to our first dive site we even saw a manta ray on the surface. The other dive sites for the day were Buoy #6 Wreck, Big Drop Off and Ngedebus Coral Garden. We saw lots of anenome, turtles and sharks.

Between the third and fourth dives they fed some sharks at the side of the boat, which made for some fun pictures.
