Skyline Drive Tour - October 2003
On the morning of October 12 we met our friends Dan and Assana for breakfast at Dinah's Poolside Restaurant in Palo Alto. It's a great little breakfast place that you'd never find by accident, it's tucked away off of El Camino at the end of a cul de sac. The grounds hold duck ponds and fountains that wind between the rooms.

Afterwards we headed up Woodside Road and along Skyline to Yerba Buena Nursery. We wandered around the grounds which wind through the trees and looked at all of the plants. The weather was absolutely perfect, mid seventies, not a cloud in the sky. We then headed back up Skyline, made a quick stop at Alice's for a snack, then continued on Skyline all the way to Highway 92. It took us about 20 minutes to go about 2 miles in some awful traffic, but we finally made it to the nursery at the bottom of the hill. They had a great selection and we all bought some cool plants. Then we went to a pottery store just down the street that was stacked to the rafters with cool stuff.

Back in the Valley we dropped off the plants at home, then headed to La Fiesta for a great Mexican dinner. Afterwards we indulged ourselves with donuts at Krispy Kreme (Mmmmm).

A very fun day all the way around. We're looking forward to a week in Costa Rica with Dan and Assana for New Year's!
