Skiing! On Friday February 2nd we came home from work, packed up the Navigator, and headed for the mountains. Along the way we picked up our friends Stan and Tommy in Pleasanton. The drive up only took about 3 hours. We arrived at NorthStar and picked up the keys for a very nice two bedroom condo. We all went to sleep, setting the alarms for 7am. The next morning we awakened to bright sunshine and not a cloud in then sky. We caught the 3 minute shuttle to the lodge, got our lift tickets, some breakfast and headed up the gondola. The lines weren't long and the snow was great! We had an awesome time both days. Stan and Tommy were lots of fun. We all skied at about the same pace, which made it even more fun. Can't wait until next time! You can click any picture to get a bigger version. Click here for some views of the trees. All of the pictures on this page were taken with a Canon S100 Digital Elph camera. It was recently purchased specifically for days like this, where you want something really small that can be thrown in a pocket and taken up on the mountain. |
