Saturday October 5th we woke up early, had breakfast, then grabbed some sandwiches for later on. We drove North across the Golden Gate bridge and up to the Marin Headlands. The views looking back towards the city were great, there was still some fog lingering at the coast.
Then we drove up highway 1 towards Stinson Beach. The weather was nice and warm, we had the top down, and the scenery was amazing. It took us about two hours along winding roads to reach Point Reyes. Then we ate lunch and walked about a mile out to the light house. There were 300 steps at the very end of the trail, they were much easier going down than back up... We drove back through Inverness and then through some great mountain roads through Lucas Valley and back out to highway 101. Then back across the Golden Gate Bridge and back to the city, all in all it took about 7 hours. A great way to spend a sunny Saturday!
